Meet the Pawsitive Pup Club Crew

Katy (white Lab mix)

Katy was only about 24 hours old when she was placed on top of trash bags on collection day, in Mason, TX, along with her look-alike sister and two brothers. All four tiny puppies were taken to a local rescuer, where they thrived and all were eventually adopted into their forever homes. Despite her harsh beginning, Katy is a very kind and loving dog who has never met a stranger. She adores all people, children, dogs and other animals

Lucy (Pug/Wiener Dog mix)

Lucy and her sister were abandoned on a San Antonio street as small puppies, where amazingly, they survived for several months. Nobody could catch them, until a volunteer with the high-kill shelter in San Antonio somehow got the job done. Each of the girls were adopted to different families where they are now happy and loved and have left the street life behind.

Tiny (Black Lab mix)

Tiny was picked up as a stray and was an inmate at the Dallas shelter. He was about an hour or two away from being euthanized when Cynthia McBride spotted him on Instagram. The post stated that he was completely shut down and had given up. Knowing that a large, adult, black depressed dog had virtually no chance of making it out of there alive, Cynthia called the shelter and gave him a home in Kerrville. He adores his two new sisters. At 92 pounds, he is anything but Tiny. His amazing transformation is chronicled in the upcoming book, Tiny Miracles.

All three of these once homeless dogs are incredibly loving with one another--truly family!

Quincy (Boer Goat)

Quincy was just 5 pounds, and about 24 hours old when someone placed him in the driveway of a kennel where Cynthia was training dogs at the time. Cynthia brought him home, bottle-fed him and raised him alongside her trio of trick dogs that did performances for schools and events. Quincy was an amazing student and joined the dogs in his first performance at only six weeks old! He is now about 150 pounds(!!) and is quite the character. He prefers dogs to goats, probably because he is a companion/pet, not a pasture animal.

Cynthia McBride (Animal Lover/Trainer)

Cynthia has always had animals in her life. She spent 30 years riding and training horses, until a riding injury forced her to give that up. This gave her more time to devote to dogs, and she proceeded to work as a service dog trainer. She also took the three rescued dogs that were living with her and developed a trio of performers that entertained people at schools and events, but also showed what thrown-away dogs can become.

Cynthia is a graphic designer and author, and her books can be found on Amazon and this site. She has had numerous dogs and cats in her life, all of them rescues, and she wants to teach people how simple it is to train their dogs, so that everyone can be happy.

Always concerned with the plight of homeless animals, she wants to teach people how to transform rescued dogs so that more adoptions and less returned animals will happen.
